Brandermill Inclusive Swim Day
Brandermill Community Association wants to
create an inclusive recreational environment by inviting community members with
various everyday challenges to a fun event of swimming and games. Member’s
families, friends, and caregivers are welcome to participate in the Inclusive
Swim Day at St. Ledger’s Pool on Friday, August 19th from 9 am – 10:30 am.
Event Details
o St. Ledger’s Pool will be open to Brandermill
members with disabilities, caregivers, and their families.
o There is a chairlift available, and two ADA
handrails attached to steps leading into the pool.
o There will be no music and limited sounds
throughout the pool deck. The lifeguards will use their whistles if there is an
emergency.
o There will be a water basketball game and water noodles
for the participants to enjoy.
o Each Brandermill member can bring up to 5 guests
(caregivers, family members, and/or friends) for this event.
o This event will be free of charge.
