Drink & Drag Bingo Fundraiser - Serving Tea with a Twist
The Tempe Leadership Class XXXVIII invites you to our Fabulous Drink & Drag Bingo Fundraiser - Serving Tea with a Twist on March 30, 2023 and/or April 6, 2023!
Capacity per night is 75 tickets.
All funds raised will support our class project benefiting the Art Resource Center!
Since 1985, the Tempe Leadership Program, in partnership with the Tempe Chamber of Commerce Foundation has brought like-minded individuals together in the community to engage and challenge one another, learn more about the ins and outs of Tempe and, most importantly, make a real difference in our community. The Art Resource Center (ARC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) that collects reusable discards from individuals and industries and gives them to schools and other nonprofit entities for the purpose of making art. It is currently in its 18th year and is run entirely by volunteers and sustained by their community through donations. The ARC has provided material and supplies for many teachers and organizations here in Tempe and beyond. Some organizations which have benefited from the ARC include Mesa Art Center, Phoenix Art Center, UMOM, Sojourner, Native American Connections and many other incredible organizations.
Funds raised will be used to:
- Transform the ARC Intake & Storage area for efficiency and to maximize the space.
- Obtain needed mobile resources & create a flexible gallery/program space at the ARC.
- Create mini Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Sensory kits using recycled materials from the ARC for each of the Tempe Community Centers.
- Create and implement a Tempe Leadership Diversity Scholarship program for Class XXXIX.
